Dr. Pred brings the unusual benefit of degrees in speech pathology and learning disorders to the team at PTI. Having received a PhD in 1977 from the University of Colorado, she also holds the ASHA CCC and Colorado Type E Certification. More than 30 years of experience in schools, hospitals and clinics contribute to Dr. Pred’s “wholistic” approach to therapy. Her practice focuses on children on the autism spectrum, those with articulation issues, developmental language delays and dyslexia. Additionally, Dr. Pred has taught at U.C.D. and is a sought-after speaker on issues relating to the treatment of speech and learning disorders. She is a member of the American and Colorado Speech/Language and Hearing Associations as well as the International Dyslexia Association.
Kali Henderson, BA, CSLPA
Certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Kali has a BA in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a Certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant (CSLPA). She has worked in several settings such as schools, hospitals and private practices and has years of experience working with children of all ages and diagnoses. Kali has worked with children who have Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay, and Down Syndrome. She has always been passionate about helping children and her love for children grew into a dedicated career.
AMANDA FRANSEN, BA, CSLPA
Certified Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Amanda graduated with a B.A. in Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2008. She completed the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant Certification (CSLPA) in 2009. Amanda works with children with many varied diagnoses in both the public school and private practice settings. Throughout her education and her career, Amanda has become interested in working with children who are on the Autism Spectrum and children with Literacy issues.
KAREN JOHNSON, MA, CCC
Speech/ Language Pathologist
Karen Johnson received an M.S. in Speech Pathology from Colorado State University in 1985 and earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence. For more than 24 years Karen has worked in public schools, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes as well as private practice. Karen specializes in Autism and Adult Disorders. Professional affiliations include the American and Colorado Speech/Language and Hearing Associations.
