BRENDA J. PARDY, OTR
Director of Occupational and Physical Therapy

A 1975 graduate of Ohio State University, Brenda Pardy’s varied skills and experience add depth to the scope of the PTI team. Her treatments are focused on functional gains in children with Sensory Processing Disorder, developmental delays, learning differences, neurologic and orthopedic issues. Her workshops, articles and books are highly regarded by parents, teachers and colleagues. Mrs. Pardy has studied extensively about the effects of oculomotor coordination on daily function. Her interest in holistic medicine has led her to study Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation, which she incorporates with more traditional approaches.


             ALIZA SHTURMAN, MS, OTR
Occupational Therapist

Aliza’s Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology is from the University of Texas and her Master’s of Occupational Therapy is from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has worked in out-patient settings with children of various diagnoses such as Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, Down Syndrome, and fine motor difficulties. While at PTI, she has received training in sensory integration, self-regulation programs, and therapeutic brushing.

 

COREY BRALOWER, MS, OTR

Occupational Therapist

Corey is a graduate of Columbia University’s Occupational Therapy Master of Science program in New York, NY. She has experience with children diagnosed with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, learning disabilities, fine motor and handwriting concerns, developmental delay, and other neurological conditions. She works with children of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Corey has a unique therapeutic style and a client-centered approach that promotes a child’s motivation to achieve goals and improve areas of weakness.


            CHERYL MOCK, MS, OTR
         Occupational Therapist

Cheryl earned a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University, Boston, and undertook post-graduate training in Sensory Integration. Upon moving to Colorado, Cheryl worked with Dr. Lucy Jane Miller at the STAR Center. As a national field examiner for the Miller Function and Participation Scale she wrote the case studies that appear in the examiner's manual. Cheryl specializes in Sensory Integration treatment as well as auditory therapy using the Integrated Listening System (iLs). She uses SI and auditory training techniques to address self-regulation deficits, motor planning problems, learning disorders, gross and fine motor problems, and issues with activities of daily living.


 AMY SOLOMON, MS, OTR
 Occupational Therapist

Amy Solomon comes to our staff with over 25 years experience as an occupational therapist and educator. A graduate of the Occupational Therapy Program at Colorado State University, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital and community settings. She is the program director of the OT assistant education program at PIMA Medical Institute.  Amy’s pediatric practice focuses on  children with behavioral and sensory challenges  and includes proficiency in assessment and treatment using a variety of sensory/motor tests, neurological screenings and intervention strategies.

 

             BETH KALIMBA, MPT
     Physical Therapist

 Beth graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She has a passion for pediatrics and has worked in schools, clinics and home-based settings. She has experience with a wide range of diagnoses including CP, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, brain injury, and Torticollis.  She loves working with the child’s family to incorporate therapy activities easily into their daily routines for maximal success.
